Removable Drive Drawers (Mobile Racks)
Removable drive drawers (mobile racks) are intended to give simple access and portability to computer hard drives. There is a plethora of descriptive names associated with this product which often leads to confusion. Consider this short list of terms that are all used to describe a drive drawer:

Drive drawers generally come in two pieces. The
Bay is mounted in a standard 5.25 inch external bay opening in the front of the
computer. The Caddy contains the hard drive. The
removable caddy moves in or out of the bay on slides. When the caddy is
seated in the bay, locked in place, and the key turned on, the
connection between the hard drive and the computer IDE or SATA port is
completed and the hard drive operates normally. The "caddy" is also
called a tray, a case, a rack, a mobile drive, removable disk, etc. The
"bay" is also called a frame, a dock, a slide etc
